Grad school or nationally competitive fellowships in your future?

Make plans to attend these information sessions from the Honors College:

AWARD Information Sessions
· Goldwater, Truman, Udall, and Beinecke Awards on Thursday, March 19th, 10 AM to 2 PM in CL 1228. Email sjm130@pitt.edu to register.
· Fulbright US Student Program, one year, post baccalaureate opportunity abroad to research, study or teach English, on Mondays at 5 PM in CL 1228 beginning February 23. Register here.
· Churchill, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, Mitchell or Rhodes Scholarships, for post baccalaureate study, on Tuesdays at 5 PM: February 23, March 10, 24, April 7, 21, and May 5th in CL 1228. Register here.

Graduate School Information Session
· “Grad School 411” is an informal lunchtime information session as part of this year’s 15th annual Dietrich School Grad Expo for undergraduate students who are thinking about attending graduate school.  The session is being held at the O’Hara Student Center from 12 PM to 1 PM on March 19th.


Other opportunities:

US-UK Fulbright Summer Institute provides freshmen and sophomores a competitive summer opportunity at a UK University to explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK and develop their academic ability by improving presentation, research and communication skills. Deadline is February 26 or March 5, 2015.

Madison (James) Graduate Fellowship provides $24,000 to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Deadline is March 1, 2015.

Gilman (Benjamin A.) International Scholarship funds Federal Pell Grant recipients up to $5,000 for study/intern abroad (4 week minimum). Students are encouraged to choose non-traditional destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Deadline is March 3, 2015
David C. Frederick Public Service Award, through the UHC, provides funding for unpaid public service internships during the summer.  Award winners receive $3500 to allow them to pursue the internship in lieu of summer work to pay for living costs. Deadline is Friday, March 6, 2015.


Buyer Synthesis Scholarship is offering a $1000 scholarship to the student who provides the most creative and compelling submission in market research. Deadline is March 15, 2015.
