Kean University's Master
of Arts in Holocaust and Genocides Studies Program invites scholars,
practitioners and human rights advocates to a multi-day summer institute in
June, titled Large-Scale Violence and Its Aftermaths.
Sunday-Monday, June 25-26
Conference to Explore Large-Scale Violence in the United States
Tuesday-Thursday, June 27-29
Working Groups to Examine Societies Around the World
Participants of the summer institute will explore tested and
contested means of dealing with collective violence and atrocities against
vulnerable communities, including crimes against humanity, war crimes and
genocide. Non-state, civil-society alternatives that could secure and/or
transform future societies will also be examined.
