Foreign Language Area Scholarships Available

Application deadline is February 15 for SUMMAR 2011 or Academic year 2011-2012.

"Undergraduate Student FLAS Academic Year Applications
The Global Studies Center is pleased to announce the competition for Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships for the University of Pittsburgh 2011-12 Academic Year. The FLAS Fellowship is a prestigious award that enables the recipient to devote full time to undergraduate study. The Global Studies Center will award three undergraduate fellowships for the academic year. FLAS-eligible languages include: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Hebrew, Persian (Farsi), Portuguese, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu. The application deadline is March 1, 2011.

The FLAS Fellowship is a prestigious award that enables the recipient to devote full time to undergraduate study. The Global Studies Center will award three fellowships for the summer. The study program is to provide the fellowship recipient with the equivalent of one academic year of foreign language study. The application deadline is February 15, 2011."
